DIR®/Floortime
DIR®/Floortime is a child-led, relationship-based approach to supporting development. Instead of working on a child, we work with them—following their interests, honoring their sensory needs, and meeting them exactly where they are.
This approach supports growth in social-emotional development, communication, and play while staying rooted in respect for each child’s individuality. It’s especially beneficial for children with autism, language delays, and complex medical needs—but it can nurture connection for any child.
DIR®/Floortime in action looks like:
Following a child’s lead in play
Discovering and building on their interests
Supporting authentic communication in all its forms
Encouraging sibling and caregiver participation
Centering strengths to support areas of growth

Sessions are playful, interactive, and centered on your child’s unique interests. We join your child in their world and gently invite them into new experiences. Parents are guided on how to use DIR/Floortime strategies in everyday routines, making therapy an extension of daily life.
